Kindra A. Weston

LMHC, NCC

Kindra opened Midwest Mental Health in December, 2015.  

She has obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Northwest Missouri State University and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University.  

She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Clinical Counseling Program at Bellevue University.

She grew up in southwest Iowa and loves living in the country.  

She and her husband own Weston Primitive Co. in Shenandoah, IA. They spend a great deal of time out looking for antiques and traveling.

Crystal L. Mick

PMHNP-BC

Crystal grew up in Northwest Missouri and moved to Shenandoah in 2005. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising of Textiles, Apparel, and Furnishings with a minor in General Business from Northwest Missouri State University.

She worked in retail management for several years, but after realizing her passion for helping others and making a difference in the community, she returned to school to become a nurse.

Crystal attended Iowa Western Community College and received her Associate’s Degree in nursing. She then worked as a clinic nurse for 8 years while continuing her education. She received a Master’s Degree in Nursing Education from Clarkson College and attended University of Missouri – Kansas City, where she receive a post-graduate certificate as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP).

She has a desire to help those with behavioral, intellectual, or mental health disorders in Shenandoah and the surrounding communities.

In her spare time, Crystal enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, shopping, and traveling.

Paige E. Osborne

Counseling Intern

Paige has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Northwest Missouri State University and is currently completing Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University.

She has worked in the mental health field as a direct support professional as well as a Community Based Case Manager for Intellectual Disabilities, Brain Injuries, Health and Disability and Physical Disability waivers.

Paige grew up in southwest Iowa and currently lives in her hometown of Sidney with her husband James and their two dogs, Tank and Max.

In her spare time, Paige enjoys getting to spend every minute with her family and boating.

Her favorite hobby is being able to sit down, relax and enjoy a good book!

Melisa A. Pelster

Billing

Melisa was born and raised in Shenandoah, Iowa.  She attended school in town and also attended IWCC in Clarinda, Iowa until the birth of her son Ayden in 2006.

She enjoys photography, swimming,  and spending time with her family. She is a huge Iowa Hawkeye fan!

She and her son attend at least one to two home games a year! They are animal lovers and have two dogs named Hawkeye and Herky.

Traci K. Regan

BHIS Supervisor

Traci has a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Iowa State University. Traci has spent the last 14 years working for Shenandoah Community Schools as an elementary teacher.

Traci has a passion for working with children and helping them learn and succeed. Traci and her husband Andy grew up in the Shenandoah area, and they have two children.

Traci enjoys spending time with her family and friends, shopping, traveling, riding her bike, and reading.

Delaina N. Lindensmith

LMHC, NCC

Delaina has a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family development from American Military University and a Master’s in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University.

Delaina has a passion for helping children and families; volunteering with the Foster Care Review Board of Nebraska and serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) of Sarpy County, Nebraska to ensure children’s voices are heard.

Prior to that, she spent 12 years in the Air Force where she volunteered her off-duty time to teaching resiliency to fellow Airmen and serving as a Sexual Assault Victim Advocate.

Delaina works hard to empower others while advocating for their needs to be met in a variety of settings.

Born and raised in Southern California, Delaina moved to Bellevue, Nebraska in 2006 after joining the Air Force.

After doing a 4-year tour of duty in England from 2010-2014, she relocated back to Bellevue.

She has three children and a fiancé. Delaina enjoys cooking, gardening, training her puppy, practicing yoga, and spending time with her family.

Molly J. Nelson

BHIS

Molly has a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Early Childhood Education from Northwest Missouri State University. Molly has spent 15 years teaching a range of PK-6th grade. 

Her career has taken her to a private preschool in Essex for one year, 9 years in Tarkio, 2 years in Clarinda, and 3 years in Shenandoah.

Molly enjoys working with children and helping them grow and learn. Molly and her husband, Eric, both graduated from Shenandoah and have one child.

Molly enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies, and traveling whenever she can.

Ellen J. Christensen

Receptionist

Ellen has a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Learning Disabilities from Northwest Missouri State University. She is a retired teacher with over 40 years of experience, teaching Special Education and 5th grade.  She also coached Special Olympics for several years.

Throughout her career, she has been passionate about teaching her students, that we all have strengths and weaknesses, and encouraging students to build upon their strengths. She cherishes the relationships she has built with former students over the years.

She has been very active in the Shenandoah community throughout the years, serving on a variety of committees and is an active member in her church.

Ellen and her husband have two daughters, along with two son-in-laws and a grandchild. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, helping others and shopping.

Jennifer L. Bramble

Receptionist

Jenn was born in Colorado Springs, CO, but was raised in Clarinda, IA. She attended College at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, IA.

She has two children who are her whole world, JennaLee and Tyson.

Her hobbies include spending time with her family, shopping with her daughter, watching her son play sports, playing with the Grand-dogs and relaxing listening to music! Jenn Loves working with people and making them smile!

Kelly grew up in Shenandoah and graduated from Shenandoah High School.

She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Northwest Missouri State University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Pre-K through Grade 3 teaching and a Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Special Education, both from Upper Iowa University.

She has spent 7 years teaching with 1 year at Riverside in first grade, 2 years in Sidney in third grade, and 4 years in Clarinda as preschool/special education.

Kelly has a huge passion for helping children and families to learn and become their best self.

She lives with her husband, Sean and his daughter Madelynn and their dog, Sophie. Kelly enjoys golfing, relaxing on her deck, and spending time at the lake.

Anetra has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology/Sociology from Northwest Missouri State University and is currently working to complete her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University.

Anetra is native to southwest Iowa, where she currently lives with her husband and four cats.

In her free time, she enjoys planting flowers, going to concerts, lifting weights, and connecting with nature.

Ashley M. Cabbage

Ashley has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies/Sociology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. Ashley has many years of experience in the mental health profession as well as, previously working in community-based integrated health/case management. Ashley has a passion to provide authentic, empathetic support to individuals, children, couples, and families to assist them on their journey towards healing and growth. Ashley aims to create a safe environment for clients as they work on achieving their personal goals. Ashley’s therapeutic approach can be described as genuine, warm, inclusive, and unique to each client. Ashley grew up in Southwest Iowa where she continues to reside. In her free time, she likes to go on walks, go shopping, watch Netflix, spend time with her dog, and attend various music and sporting events (especially at her alma mater to cheer on the Nebraska Cornhuskers).

Kelsi S. Carlson

Receptionist

Kelsi is currently working towards her associates in business at Iowa Western Community College and plans to transfer to a 4-year university afterwards.

She comes from a family of 5 with her two parents, Lori and Doug; a brother, Nick; and a sister, Miley.

Kelsi graduated from Shenandoah High School and has lived here her entire life.

In her free time she enjoys being outdoors with her friends and family hunting, golfing, or taking her dog, Maverick, on walks.

She enjoys working with people and would do anything to make someone’s day even just a little better!

Melissa J. Reed

Care Coordinator

Melissa obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services with a minor in Psychology.

She brings with her, four years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities that were receiving services through the State of Nebraska in the Division of Developmental Disabilities.

She has also worked in various public schools with children struggling with behaviors, learning disabilities and many other issues.

Melissa has spent her life in the Heartland, growing up in Omaha, Nebraska until the 90’s, then relocating to Southwest Iowa.

She lives with her husband and children in Shenandoah. They together, foster children, helping to reunite them and their families. Melissa and her family enjoy spending time together and vacationing at her father’s cabin.

Melissa is very active and loves to run and workout at the gym as often as possible. Running a full marathon is a bucket list item she looks forward to achieving.

Angela D. Mace

LMHC, NCC

Angela has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Peru State College and is currently completing her Master’s in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Peru State College with a specialization in Special Education.

Angela has a passion for helping others in a variety of settings. Over the last 22 years, she has cared for the elderly in nursing homes, and worked with toddlers in a daycare; however, she especially enjoys teaching school age children. She previously taught special education and currently works part-time as a substitute teacher.

Angela takes a positive approach to life and works hard to help meet the needs of others. She lives with her family in Northwest Missouri where she was also born and raised.

She and her husband have three amazing children. Angela enjoys spending time with family, running, biking, and photography.

LPN

Jackie was born and raised in Shenandoah. She graduated from Shenandoah High School and completed her licensed practical nurse (LPN) program at Iowa Western Community College. She has been an LPN for 13 years.

She is married and has one child. They enjoy traveling as a family so that they can see and do new things. In her free time, she enjoys reading and bowling.

Dannielle M. Arnold

Receptionist

Dannielle grew up in Shenandoah and graduated from Shenandoah High School. She is married with 2 children. She and her family have had a couple moves recently, the most recent one to Bellevue, Nebraska and Dannielle rejoined our team. Dannielle enjoys spending time with her family and as a family they enjoy being outdoors and going on little adventures. In the little spare time Dannielle has she enjoys cuddling up on the couch with a warm blanket reading.

Jordan R. Anderzhon

Jordan has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.  Jordan grew up in Farragut, Iowa, coming from a big family.  In her spare time, Jordan enjoys embroidery, going for walks, and spending time with friends and family.  Jordan has a passion for helping others.  Her ultimate goal is to give others a safe space to talk about hard things.
Madison A. Moores

Receptionist

Madi grew up in Southwest Iowa. She attended college at Nebraska Methodist College in Omaha, NE. She previously worked in the healthcare field and has always had a passion for helping people. 

Madi enjoys spending time with her family. She has an almost two-year-old son that constantly keeps her on her toes and another little boy on the way. When she is not chasing after her kids, she enjoys going for walks, shopping, traveling, and experiencing new things with her family.

Erica L. Moyer

BHIS Provider

Erica earned her Bacholor’s degree in Juvenile justice and child protection from Bellevue University. She has spent over 10 years working with persons with developmental disabilities and enjoys learning about behavioral health. She has worked as a Service Coordinator on various intellectual and disabilities waivers.

Erica has lived in the southwest Iowa area all of her life and currently lives in Sidney with her 13 year old daughter and American Bulldog Diamond. She and her daughter enjoy ice skating and roller skating together. She also enjoys golfing, hiking at Wabonsie and hanging out at the pool in the summer.

Gage M. Reed

BHIS Provider

Gage earned his associate degree in arts from Iowa Western Community College. He is currently working towards his Bachelor’s in Human Services with a Minor in Psychology from Buena Vista University. Gage grew up in Shenandoah, Iowa and has been in this area his whole life. In his spare time, Gage loves to read books, hang out with his family, and play video games. Gage has a passion to helping families through hard times. His ultimate goal is to give his families a safe space to talk about anything and to let them know they aren’t alone.

Theresa M. Brockmeyer

Counseling Intern

Theresa has an associate degree in criminal justice and management of health Informatics bachelor’s degree and a master’s in cyber security from Bellevue University. Theresa is currently completing a master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Bellevue University and graduating in June of 2023.
 
Theresa grew up in a military family that traveled the globe. She was born in Wisconsin. Lived in Texas twice, Alaska, North Dakota, Maine, Japan, Nebraska and resides now is Iowa with her husband. Theresa has an adult daughter and son-in-law plus two grandsons.
 
Theresa worked in the special investigation unit investigating medical fraud for 17 years. She has worked as a correctional officer, and in the mental health field in revenue cycle management in a community based mental health facility. Theresa currently writes a mental health blog and plans to publish mental health books once she is fully licensed.
 
In her spare time, she enjoys photography, gardening and traveling.
Tammie L. Stettler

Tammie graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Graceland University.

She grew up in Shenandoah and graduated from Shenandoah High School. After college, she taught 1st grade in Omaha and then Kindergarten and 1st grade in Shenandoah for many years.

Tammie loves opportunities to work with others and help them reach their potential.

She and her husband Kevin live in Shenandoah. They have 2 adult sons, a daughter-in-law, and a grandchild.

Tammie loves spending time with her family vacationing, hiking in the mountains, and traveling. She enjoys being with her friends, reading, and being outdoors.

She is an ordained minister and enjoys ministering in our area as well as pastoring at Jr. High Camp for a week each summer.

Jill N. Stevenson

Jill has spent the last 8 years working in Education, four years were spent with the Shenandoah Community School District and most recently she was with the Green Hills Area Education Agency.  

Jill’s passion for advocacy comes from her family’s lived experiences in the special needs community. She has been involved in many councils and leadership groups in the state including the Regional Autism Assistance Program Family Advisory Council and the Child Health Specialty Clinic Family Advisory Council. Jill has organized local sensory friendly events for families and children in Shenandoah and surrounding communities with her non-profit group. Jill’s goal is to help families and children see the best in themselves and each other.  

Jill lives in Shenandoah with her husband Daniel and their two sons. In her free time, she enjoys watching her sons perform on stage in plays and musicals and in all their activities, traveling, and relaxing with her family.

Danielle R. Baker

Counseling Intern

Danielle has earned a Bachelors Degree in Behavioral Science from Bellevue University. She is currently in the process of completing her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bellevue University.

Through years of working for non-profit organizations and with individuals of all ages, these experiences have made Danielle appreciate working with diverse multicultural populations. She value’s a collaborative approach and wants to provide the support you need to grow in a safe space. She would describe her approach as empathetic, warm, goal oriented, and client centered. She utilizes Play Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to assist clients to set goals and objectives, work through their traumas, and to take positive steps to move forward in their lives.

Danielle is from Nebraska City, NE where she currently resides and enjoys spending time with her family and dogs.

Chantelle has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Briar Cliff University and is working to obtain her Master’s Degree in Social Work.  She has worked in the social work field for 10 years and enjoys working with families.
Chantelle grew up in southwest Iowa, but left briefly to attend college in Sioux City, Iowa. Chantelle met her husband in Sioux City and lived there for a few years before returning to southwest Iowa in 2020.Chantelle enjoys spending her free time with her husband and three children.

Trish has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and a Master’s Degree in counseling, with an emphasis on community counseling, both from UNO.

Trish finds counseling to be a rewarding career and feels it’s an honor and a privilege to play a part in the stories of her clients.

In her free time she enjoys gardening, house plants, coffee, going to movies, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with her friends, family, and pets.

Chelsie has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology & a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Buena Vista University. Chelsie is a native of Shenandoah, where she currently lives with her husband and 2 daughters. When she isn’t spending time with her husband, daughters, siblings, and friends, she enjoys helping others, volunteering, doing foster care, being outdoors with her children, and listening to music. Chelsie enjoys giving back to the community she was raised in and does so by serving on various local boards and committees. Chelsie has a passion for making a difference anywhere she can and helping people live up to their full potential! Chelsie lives by the motto, “Be the person you needed when you were younger” and is always advocating for children.

Natalie was born and raised in Shenandoah. She returned to Shenandoah following college. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Behavioral Science from Bellevue University.

Natalie has always had a passion for connecting with people and wants to provide an environment for children and families to feel comfortable and safe while learning ways to reach their full potential.

Natalie has four children who keep her busy. In her spare time, Natalie enjoys volunteering her time with The Forum to Revitalize Shenandoah, spending time with friends and family, watching musicals, and occasionally finding time for a television show or documentary.

Taelyn received her Bachelor’s degree in Child, Youth, and Family Studies, with a minor in Education, from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She is in the process of working towards her Master’s degree in Counseling.

Taelyn grew up in Southeast Nebraska, but recently moved to Iowa with her significant other, Chris, and their two littles. She has spent many years working with children and families in childcare settings, as well as through internship opportunities. She is passionate about helping children and adolescents understand their potential through their various stages of development.

Some of Taelyn’s favorite things to do are going on coffee runs, reading books, shopping, and spending lots of time with her family.
