Kindra A. Weston

LMHC, NCC

Kindra opened Midwest Mental Health in December, 2015.  

She has obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Northwest Missouri State University and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University.  

She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Clinical Counseling Program at Bellevue University.

She grew up in southwest Iowa and loves living in the country.  

She and her husband own Weston Primitive Co. in Shenandoah, IA. They spend a great deal of time out looking for antiques and traveling.

Janice L. Wilson

LMHC, NCC, BCPC

Jan has worked in the field of psychology for over fifteen years.  

She has obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Counseling/Psychology from Northwest Missouri State University.

Jan is an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star.  

She enjoys music and regularly plays the piano for her church.  Jan loves to travel and watch theatrical productions of all types.

Peter F. Fowle

LISW

Peter is a clinical social worker who earned his Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Toronto, Canada. Peter worked in child protection, and community-based mental health facility for three years before turning his focus to psychotherapy in 2001.

Peter has earned his Level II EMDR certification leading him to specialize in the treatment of trauma and anxiety.

In his free time Peter enjoys spending time with his children, motorcycling, woodworking, and playing guitar.

Melissa J. Reed

BHIS Supervisor

Melissa obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services with a minor in Psychology.

She brings with her, four years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities that were receiving services through the State of Nebraska in the Division of Developmental Disabilities.

She has also worked in various public schools with children struggling with behaviors, learning disabilities and many other issues.

Melissa has spent her life in the Heartland, growing up in Omaha, Nebraska until the 90’s, then relocating to Southwest Iowa.

She lives with her husband and children in Shenandoah. They together, foster children, helping to reunite them and their families. Melissa and her family enjoy spending time together and vacationing at her father’s cabin.

Melissa is very active and loves to run and workout at the gym as often as possible. Running a full marathon is a bucket list item she looks forward to achieving.

Kerra E. Ratliff

BHIS

Kerra has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Peru State college. She has a passion for making a difference in children and families lives.

Kerra is currently a full time employee at the Shenandoah High School where she serves as the High School At Risk Coordinator. She has been with Shenandoah Schools for a total of 7 years.

Kerra was born and raised in Omaha Nebrska, she attended Peru State college where she was a part of the Bobcat softball program.

Kerra and her family live in Shenandoah and both her and her husband enjoy being involved in community activities and being involved in sports. Kerra’s husband Ty Ratliff is a teacher and coach at the Shenandoah High School, together they have a son Trey who is 6 and a daughter Kyia who is 1.

She enjoys spending time with her family, and friends, shopping, supporting the Mustangs and Fillies activities, and working out.

Angela D. Mace

LMHC, NCC

Angela has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Peru State College and is currently completing her Master’s in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Peru State College with a specialization in Special Education.

Angela has a passion for helping others in a variety of settings. Over the last 22 years, she has cared for the elderly in nursing homes, and worked with toddlers in a daycare; however, she especially enjoys teaching school age children. She previously taught special education and currently works part-time as a substitute teacher.

Angela takes a positive approach to life and works hard to help meet the needs of others. She lives with her family in Northwest Missouri where she was also born and raised.

She and her husband have three amazing children ages 19, 11, and 8. Angela enjoys spending time with family, running, biking, and photography.

Paige E. Osborne

BHIS

Paige has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Northwest Missouri State University and is currently completing Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University.

Since graduation from my undergraduate in 2012 I have worked in the mental health field as a direct support professional as well as a Community Based Case Manager for Intellectual Disabilities, Brain Injuries, Health and Disability and Physical Disability waivers.

I grew up in southwest Iowa and currently live in my hometown of Sidney with my husband James and our two dogs, Tank and Max.

In my spare time, I enjoy getting to spend every minute with my family and boating.

My favorite hobby is being able to sit down, relax and enjoy a good book!

Julia B. Shull

BHIS

Julia obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science from Bellevue University. She brings with her four years experience working with students within the school system by providing support, monitoring, and training using behavior management techniques, intervention strategies, coping skills, and problem solving for students with behavioral challenges.

Julia moved to small town southwest Iowa in 2003, has 3 daughters with her husband, Jake, of 15 years. Julia and Jake spent many years fostering children in the area helping them safely reunite with the families.

Julia and her family love to vacation on Table Rock Lake, boat, swim, and hang out with each other. Julia loves to hike, practice yoga, and walk the family dog.

Melisa A. Pelster

Billing

Melisa was born and raised in Shenandoah, Iowa.  She attended school in town and also attended IWCC in Clarinda, Iowa until the birth of her son Ayden in 2006.

She enjoys photography, swimming,  and spending time with my family. She is a huge Iowa Hawkeye fan! 

She and her son attend at least one to two home games a year! They are animal lovers and have two dogs named Hawkeye and Herky.

Traci K. Regan

BHIS Team Lead

Traci has a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Iowa State University. Traci has spent the last 14 years working for Shenandoah Community Schools as an elementary teacher.

Traci has a passion for working with children and helping them learn and succeed. Traci and her husband Andy grew up in the Shenandoah area, and they have two children.

Traci enjoys spending time with her family and friends, shopping, traveling, riding her bike, and reading.

Delaina N. Lindensmith

TLMHC

Delaina has a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family development from American Military University and is currently working on her Master’s in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University.

Delaina has a passion for helping children and families; volunteering with the Foster Care Review Board of Nebraska and serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) of Sarpy County, Nebraska to ensure children’s voices are heard.

Prior to that, she spent 12 years in the Air Force where she volunteered her off-duty time to teaching resiliency to fellow Airmen and serving as a Sexual Assault Victim Advocate.

Delaina works hard to empower others while advocating for their needs to be met in a variety of settings.

Born and raised in Southern California, Delaina moved to Bellevue, Nebraska in 2006 after joining the Air Force.

After doing a 4-year tour of duty in England from 2010-2014, she relocated back to Bellevue.

She has three children, 10, 7, and 5, and a fiancé. Delaina enjoys cooking, gardening, training her puppy, practicing yoga, and spending time with her family.

Molly J. Nelson

BHIS

Molly has a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Early Childhood Education from Northwest Missouri State University. Molly has spent 15 years teaching a range of PK-6th grade. 

Her career has taken her to a private preschool in Essex for one year, 9 years in Tarkio, 2 years in Clarinda, and 3 years in Shenandoah.

Molly enjoys working with children and helping them grow and learn. Molly and her husband, Eric, both graduated from Shenandoah and have one child.

Molly enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies, and traveling whenever she can.

Tammie L. Stettler

BHIS

Tammie graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Graceland University.

She grew up in Shenandoah and graduated from Shenandoah High School. After college, she taught 1st grade in Omaha and then Kindergarten and 1st grade in Shenandoah for many years.

Tammie loves opportunities to work with others and help them reach their potential.

She and her husband Kevin live in Shenandoah. They have 2 adult sons, a daughter-in-law, and a grandchild.

Tammie loves spending time with her family vacationing, hiking in the mountains, and traveling. She enjoys being with her friends, reading, and being outdoors.

She is an ordained minister and enjoys ministering in our area as well as pastoring at Jr. High Camp for a week each summer.

Lori L. Black

Biller

Lori was born and raised in Tabor, Ia and graduated from Fremont Mills High School. She is proud to have grown up in a small town and both sides of her family go back many generations of farming.

Lori started doing medical billing in 2004. Lori and her husband Mike live in Sidney, Iowa and enjoy spending time with their 5 children, their spouses and 3 grandchildren.

Lori has a passion for wildlife and has over several years cared for and released orphaned raccoons. Lori also enjoys making candles and owns her own business, Dusty Roads Candle Company.

In her spare time, she enjoys laughing and spending time with her friends and family, watching and quoting her favorite TV programs and movies, going to the movies, baking, riding 4 wheelers, wood working, and traveling whenever she can.

Reading is another passion in Lori ‘s life and can not go a day without reading! She is also a huge fan of anything Harry Potter related and proud to admit she is a self proclaimed nerd and loves to make people laugh.

MacKenzie A. Dailey

MacKenzie has a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services along with minors in Psychology and Sociology from Buena Vista University. She brings with her five years of experience working with adolescences in residential and community based settings as a Behavioral Health Intervention Specialist.

MacKenzie has a passion to assist children in learning age-appropriate ways to manage their behavior. She has experience working with families on education and support with coping mechanisms dealing with the child’s mental health symptoms.

MacKenzie resides in Red Oak, IA with her significant other and their three daughters. MacKenzie’s biggest enjoyment is spending time with her family. During the summer, MacKenzie enjoys gardening, boating, and vacationing at the Lake of the Ozarks with her family.

In MacKenzie’s spare time she enjoys watching Netflix, baking, shopping, and being creative by creating Pinterest projects.

Chelsie N. Greene

BHIS

Chelsie has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology & a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Buena Vista University.

Chelsie is a native of Shenandoah, where she currently lives with her husband and 2 daughters.

When she isn’t spending time with her husband, daughters, siblings, and friends, she enjoys helping others, volunteering, doing foster care, being outdoors with her children, and listening to music.

Chelsie enjoys giving back to the community she was raised in and does so by serving on various local boards and committees.

Chelsie has a passion for making a difference anywhere she can and helping people live up to their full potential!

Chelsie lives by the motto, “Be the person you needed when you were younger” and is always advocating for children.

Jennifer L. Bramble

Receptionist

Jenn was born in Colorado Springs, CO, but was raised in Clarinda, IA. She attended College at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, IA.

She has two children who are her whole world, JennaLee- 20 and Tyson -15.

Her Hobbies include spending time with her family, shopping with her daughter, watching her son play sports, playing with the Grand-dogs and relaxing listening to music! Jenn Loves working with people and making them smile!

Andrea obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology and became a clinical laboratory specialist in human genetics, working in that field for several years before deciding to become a stay-at-home mom.

When her children went to school Andrea moved into teaching, working with students struggling with behavior, learning disabilities, and other issues.

Andrea enjoys spending time with her husband and children (and her dog Tucker), camping, painting, baking, and reading a good book in her free time.

Receptionist

I was born and raised in Shenandoah. My beautiful daughter Payson is six years old, and my charming son Myles is four years old. Spending time with them is the most important thing to me, whether we are reading, baking, playing Uno, or just cuddling on the couch.

I enjoy reading and a few of my favorite Authors are Nickolas Sparks, James Patterson, and Stephen King. During the nice weather, I enjoy camping, going on walks, or just doing yard work. Even though the Iowa Hawkeyes break my heart more than I want to admit, I am a loyal fan.

My goal in this life is to make many great memories with my children and to raise two successful good human beings.

Kelly grew up in Shenandoah and graduated from Shenandoah High School.

She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Northwest Missouri State University, a Bachelor’s Degree in Pre-K through Grade 3 teaching and a Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Special Education, both from Upper Iowa University.

She has spent 7 years teaching with 1 year at Riverside in first grade, 2 years in Sidney in third grade, and 4 years in Clarinda as preschool/special education.

Kelly has a huge passion for helping children and families to learn and become their best self.

She lives with her boyfriend, Sean and his daughter Madelynn and their dog, Sophie. Kelly enjoys golfing, relaxing on her deck, and spending time at the lake.

Anetra has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology/Sociology from Northwest Missouri State University and is currently working to complete her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University.

Anetra is native to southwest Iowa, where she currently lives with her husband and four cats.

In her free time, she enjoys planting flowers, going to concerts, lifting weights, and connecting with nature.

Amber N. Butt

LMHC CADC, NCC

Amber grew up near Kansas City, MO. She attended Northwest Missouri State University earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology.

She moved to Southwest Iowa after meeting her husband while working with adolescents in residential treatment.

She earned her CADC (Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor) in 2006 and her LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) in 2008.

Amber’s passion is working with tweens, teens, and adults who have experienced trauma. She became certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) through EMDRIA in 2020. She is also certified in TF-CBT (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy).

When Amber’s not working, she loves spending time with her family, walking and playing with her newest family member, Remy-the black lab, and watching her boys’ many sporting events.

Ashley obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies/Sociology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is currently completing her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University.

Ashley grew up in southwest Iowa and brings with her 5 years of experience in the mental health profession working in community-based integrated health/case management.

Ashley has a passion to provide genuine, empathetic support to help individuals, children, and families reach their personal goals.

In her free time, Ashley likes to go on walks, watch Netflix, attend various sporting events (especially at her alma mater to cheer on the Nebraska Cornhuskers), and spend time with her family and friends.

Receptionist

Kelsi is currently working towards her associates in business at Iowa Western Community College and plans to to transfer to a 4 year university afterwards.

She comes from a family of 5 with her two parents, Lori and Doug, an 18 year old little brother, Nick, and her 8 year old little sister, Miley.

Kelsi graduated from Shenandoah High School and has lived here her entire life.

In her free time she enjoys being outdoors with her friends and family hunting, golfing, or taking her dog, Maverick, on walks.

She enjoys working with people and would do anything to make someone’s day even just a little better!

Matthew has a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Missouri Western State University. Matthew has lived in the Shenandoah area his whole life and graduated in 2016 from Shenandoah High School.

Matthew has an Aussie-Doodle named Penny. Matthew enjoys spending time with family and friends. He also likes spending time outside golfing, biking and combining in the fall.

Matthew has a passion for helping others and has experience working with children of all ages.
